Claire McKenna

mckennaCLAIRE McKENNA was born in England, but also spent time in Canada before moving to Texas. She received her B.S. degree in Biology from Texas A&M University in 2004. Since 2006, she has been employed with the Austin Police Department in Austin, Texas as a Forensic DNA analyst. Her M.S. research with Dr. Tomberlin will examine the effects of the bacteria A. baumannii and P. aeruginosa on the gene expression levels of blow fly larvae. She will be collaborating with Dr. Aaron Tarone, Department of Entomology, Texas A&M University and Dr. Tawni Crippen, USDA-ARS.
