FRANK ORTIZ graduated from Baylor University majoring in Forensic Science in 2009. He participated in summer research with the REU-Excite program at Texas A&M University. His research examined the preference of male and female Cochliomyia macellaria and Chrysomya rufifacies blow flies to livers at different stages of decomposition. Frank presented his research at the American Academy of Forensic Sciences conference in Denver, Colorado in February 2009. He will be pursuing a M.S. in forensic science starting fall 2009.
