Joshua Thomas

thomasFIRST LIEUTENANT JOSHUA THOMAS grew up around the world, setting foot in countless countries and half a dozen states either as a resident (Germany, Greece, South Korea, USA) or a visitor before receiving his BS in Entomology at Michigan State University in 2012.  Currently serving in the United States Army Reserves as a Company Commander and CBRN-e Officer in an Aviation Unit, he is completing his Masters Degree in Entomology under the mentorship of Dr. Tomberlin.  Interested in the application of Forensic Entomology with both civilian law and the military, Josh’s research currently involves the rearing of the Megaselia scalaris on different tissue types to be used as a basis for death and myiasis investigations in the future.
