Klara Hauser

KLARA HAUSER is a M.S. student visiting the F.L.I.E.S. Facility to conduct research for her master thesis supervised by Prof. Dr. Alexander Mathys and Prof. Dr. Jeffery Tomberlin. She received her B.S. in Food Science at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland, with a thesis in Food Toxicology entitled “Chemical-induced steatosis in an in vitro human liver cell model”. After a 3-month development project on cheesemaking in Zambia, she now pursues her M.S. in Food Science at ETH Zurich with a major in Food Processing. Her master thesis focuses on the effect of methionine on the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens), both on adults and larvae. She will return to Switzerland in July 2019 to defend her research.
